Welcome to the SVG Sports Broadcasting Fund
Need Help? The Sports Broadcasting Fund is here for YOU!
In 2012 the Sports Broadcasting Fund was established in response to the tragic death of CBS cameraman Jeremy Schultz. That initial effort has led to a Fund that week in and week out now helps those in our industry as well as their family members who are facing difficult financial times.
Whether you or someone in the industry has been overwhelmed due to illness, surgery, or a hurricane, fire, or flood, we are here to help. And in the past two years we have begun helping anyone in need around the globe.
Our goal is simple: to be available as a “first responder” help pay bills directly so that recipients can stretch their own cash reserves. The goal is to avoid additional stress related to financial challenges that can often make a challenging situation more difficult.
If you need to apply for aid please download our aid application form (found here) and fill it out. We do not ask for intimate financial records but we do require an “Advocate Referee,” who can be a friend, colleague, mentor, employer or associate of the applicant, to sign off on and submit all applications with proper documentation (for example, copies of bills to paid).
