The Sports Broadcasting Fund is here for YOU!<\/h4>\n<p>Life, as they say, happens.<\/p>\n<p>Fires that cause the loss of a home. Illnesses that cause the loss of income. And, of course, death.<\/p>\n<p>Those are just three of the many reasons the Sports Broadcasting Fund is here for you.<\/p>\n<p>The Fund, established in 2012 by the Sports Video Group, is designed to offer financial support for industry professionals who find themselves in a difficult financial spot due to calamity, illness, injury, or loss of life.<\/p>\n<p>Our goal is simple: to be available as a \u201cfirst responder\u201d and to quickly help those we help pay bills so that recipients can stretch their own cash reserves so that stress related to financial challenges are not piled onto an already stressful situation.<\/p>\n<p>If you need to apply for aid please download our aid application form (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.sportsbroadcastfund.org\/apply\/\">found here<\/a>) and fill it out. We do not ask for intimate financial records but we do require an\u00a0\u201cAdvocate Referee,\u201d who can be a friend, colleague, mentor, employer or\u00a0associate of the applicant, to sign off on and submit all applications with\u00a0proper documentation (for example, copies of bills to paid).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Eligibility Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Applicants must have worked in the sports broadcasting production industry for one year.<\/li>\n<li>Immediate family members of those employed in the sports broadcasting field may be eligible for grants.<\/li>\n<li>Applicants must be U.S. or Canadian residents.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Funding<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Grants typically do not exceed $5,000.<\/li>\n<li>Individuals may apply and receive not more than three (3) grants. Multiple gifts will be made only after all other resources are exhausted.<\/li>\n<li>All grants will paid directly to vendors, and must be used for those documented\u00a0expense such as, medicine, medical equipment, rent\/mortgage payments,\u00a0oxygen, clothing, funeral expenses etc.<\/li>\n<li>All grants will require documentation, invoices or receipts before being paid.<\/li>\n<li>Please note, the Sports Broadcasting Fund has been established to provide\u00a0short-term assistance to those in need rather than long-term\u00a0support.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Exclusions<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Loans<\/li>\n<li>Multiple year pledges<\/li>\n<li>Debt reduction<\/li>\n<li>Legal fees<\/li>\n<li>Fundraising events\/activities<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Need Help?
